Magnetic particle inspection is a surface method for magnetisable materials and is suitable for the detection of gap-like material separations (cracks) in the near surface region.

Magnetic particle inspection takes place using yoke magnets (hand testing), coils and the flow of electrical current. Crack test benches are available for automated testing.

All tests are performed with the aid of approved, environmentally sound testing equipment. Coloured and fluorescent inspection media are used.
